RAV4 EV lineup at WKtEC at LA Film Fest

Saturday January 17th - 9:00 AM - Santa Monica Civic Center

Please Join Us! We've got plenty of reasons to celebrate. A new year. A new administration. Martin Luther King's Birthday. And we have a message for Congress, Detroit, and President-elect Barack Obama: America wants pure electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles; the most fuel-efficient cars ever made.

In the largest event of its kind, Plug In America has assembled over 70 plug-in vehicles to rally and then drive in formation through city streets.

Mitsubishi iMiEVYou may have heard this event mentioned in the LA Times, OC Register, Wired, Edmunds, or in various blogs and magazines. From as far away as Germany all the way to the heart of Detroit.

See more than three-dozen Toyota RAV4 EVs, Tesla Roadsters, Vectrix motor scooters, Zero Motorcycles, and Phoenix SUTs. Keep your eyes open and you may spot a prototype Mitsubishi iMiEV, a prototype Ford Escape plug-in hybrid electric, a converted 1971 Porsche, the "Solar Taco" Tacoma pickup, and more.  See a more complete list below.

Hear Director Chris Paine and Senator Fran Pavley speak at the press conference. (Chris' crew will also be filming the event!)

Donate to the organization that is pushing hardest for the electric car movement. The event is free, but donations will help defray costs such as a $2K bill for a city police escort. Donations of at least $100 will get you a ride in a brand new Tesla (these spots are limited, so sign up now!) or a rider spot in one of the EVs in the parade.

Donations of $50 include a free gift that you can pick up at our booth at the press conference including one of the following: 1) A copy of the book "Plug-in Hybrids; the car that will recharge America"; 2) A copy of the DVD "Who Killed the Electric Car?" or 3) A mini Tesla Roadster. If you are unable to attend and would still like to contribute, your gift can be mailed.

Ring in the new year, and the new pro-EV administration, with a parade of the most technologically advanced vehicles on the planet.
